Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreign Nationals in Türkiye

In recent years, Türkiye has introduced significant measures facilitating the acquisition of real estate by foreign nationals. Today, citizens of approximately 180 countries are permitted to acquire real estate in Türkiye without a reciprocity requirement. In addition, foreign nationals who acquire real estate with a minimum value of USD 400,000 may be eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship, subject to the applicable legal requirements. Such property is subject to a three-year restriction on sale, together with certain geographical and other statutory restrictions.
